Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park is the crown jewel of the city of Tampa’s urban parks. Acting as the centerpiece of the Tampa Riverwalk, this eight acre interactive park, designed by the New York-based landscape architect Thomas Balsley, integrates the Riverwalk with the Tampa Museum of Art and downtown Tampa’s urban corridor.   Overlooking the Hillsborough River, the park with its sloping great lawn features two fountains, a children’s playground, public boat docks, a dog park, seat terraces, a pavilion and cafe’.

»	On Street Parking Public parking garages are plentiful along the Park and Downtown area.  The two closest garages are William F. Poe garage located at 802 North Ashley Drive and Central Parking System garage located at 601 N Ashley Drive.
»	Metered Parking Metered parking North of Kennedy Blvd is free on weekends and weeknights after 6pm.  Between Whiting and Kennedy meters are enforced Mon – Sat, 8am – 8pm and Sun 1pm-8pm.  Between Garrison channel and Whiting it is enforced Mon – Sat 8am – Midnight.  Rates vary.  Change is available from Parking Enforcement Officers.
